President’s Bio

Bill Mayville is a successful entrepreneur, civic leader and military veteran. He has dedicated his career to building businesses that match employer and employee needs, which has allowed his client companies to grow and provide jobs and services for the communities in which they operate.

Today, Bill is president of Workaway International. This company recruits and provides staff for residential country clubs, ensuring that the clubs have qualified, trained, drug-free domestic and international workers to support their operations.

Prior to founding Workaway, Bill established HR AMERICA and served as its president from 1998 – 1999 until he sold to an investor group. HR AMERICA provided human resource services for a client base of 3,000 employees. From 1996-1999, Bill was vice president for benefits and new product development at Nova Care Employee Services, where he managed a benefits program for 16,000 employees in Florida and Georgia. In 1996, Bill founded Resource One, which he built and sold to Nova Care. Resource One provided human resource support, third party insurance planning, and prescription drug services to employers. Previously, Bill was president of the Professional Insurance Planners of Florida, which administered medical, dental and vision claims for over 330 companies with 10,000 insured individuals.

Bill served the United States as both an active duty and reserve Army officer from 1976 until 1986, achieving the rank of captain and earning the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and two letters of commendation.

He attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina on a ROTC Scholarship and earned his Bachelor of Arts in 1976. In 1982, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University.

Bill is a civic and community leader, having served for four years as a member of Workforce Florida and on various planning and zoning boards with the City of Coral Gables. He was vice chairman of the New World Symphony Community Board and a member of the Board of Advisors for Furman University.
