For many of you, this will be the first time you have travelled overseas, lived away from your parents and managed your own affairs. Our President’s Bio

Bill Mayville is a distinguished entrepreneur, civic leader and military veteran renowned for his dedication to building businesses that bridge the gap between employer and employee needs, fostering growth, and generating employment opportunities within local communities.

As the current President of Workaway International, Bill oversees the recruitment and staffing operations for residential country clubs, ensuring they have access to qualified, trained, and drug-free domestic and international workers to support their day-to-day operations effectively.

Prior to founding Workaway, Bill founded HR AMERICA in 1998, where he served as President until its acquisition by an investor group in 1999. HR AMERICA specialized in providing human resource services for a diverse client base of 3,000 employees. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1999, Bill held the position of Vice President for Benefits and New Product Development at Nova Care Employee Services, where he managed a comprehensive benefits program for 16,000 employees across Florida and Georgia.

Bill’s entrepreneurial journey began with the establishment of Resource One in 1996, a company he successfully built and later sold to Nova Care. Resource One offered human resource support, third-party insurance planning, and prescription drug services to employers. Earlier in his career, Bill served as President of the Professional Insurance Planners of Florida, overseeing medical, dental, and vision claims administration for over 330 companies and 10,000 insured individuals.

In addition to his remarkable achievements in the business world, Bill dedicated a decade of his life to serving the United States Army, both as an active duty and reserve officer from 1976 to 1986. During his service, he attained the rank of captain and was honored with prestigious awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, and two letters of commendation.

Bill’s academic journey commenced with a ROTC Scholarship at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1976. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration from Florida International University in 1982.

Beyond his professional and military endeavors, Bill is deeply engaged in civic and community activities. He dedicated four years to serving on Workforce Florida and contributed his expertise to various planning and zoning boards with the City of Coral Gables. Additionally, he served as Vice Chairman of the New World Symphony Community Board and held a position on the Board of Advisors for Furman University.
